Storage container sizes?We have three sizes of secured storage containers to offer subject to availability: 5FT X 8FT 10FT X 8FT 20FT X 8FT

Availabilty of storage containers?RENTING: We have a minimum of 1 week (7 days) rental per storage container. Availability will depend on the capacity at the time. Please contact us on 07831130456 for more information. BUYING: If you are looking to buy a a storage container please get in touch to discuss pricing.

Can I store for one day?Our minimum storage term is 7 days. You can move out after one day, but you will still pay for a minimum of 7 days. We require 7 days notice before you move out of the storage facility. You can also extend your storage on a rolling basis but please give us some advanced notice.

What can be stored in the containers?The storage rooms are ideal for storing a range of items including household and personal items, machinery, business stock as well as archiving.

Is there anything I can't store?You must not store (and you must not allow any other person to store) any of the following in the room: Food or perishable goods unless approved by us and provided that they are protected from and do not attract vermin, plants, birds, fish, animals or any other creatures, combustible, flammable, explosive or oxidising materials, liquids or gases e.g. paint, petrol, oil, cleaning solvents, gas cylinders, cellulose nitrate film, fireworks, firearms, weapons, ammunition, explosives or the components thereof, chemicals, radioactive materials, biological agents, pollutants, toxic or hazardous materials or contaminated goods or other materials of a potentially dangerous nature, any item which emits any fumes, smell or odour, any illegal substances, illegal items or goods illegally obtained, including counterfeit goods, illicit (smuggled/counterfeit) tobacco, illicit alcohol, unlicensed medicines, unsafe goods (including toys, electrical items, cosmetics, fireworks), compressed non-flammable gases without our written consent and in accordance with our specific requirements, any item of high value requiring specialist storage (including without limitation jewellery, money, bullion, deeds, bonds, securities, stamps, antiques, fine art or fine wines, tyres, asbestos or waste materials including any materials or goods for export deemed to be waste e.g. used electrical equipment (unless tested and certified for re-use), used vehicles or parts thereof.

Can I view the storage before renting?Yes, however we are following guidance on social distancing during the coronavirus pandemic. We would recommend calling our team to arrange a time and date to be shown around.

Does Dyfed Self Storage have 24 hour access?No. We can make occasional exceptions on an individual basis if you contact us and we agree a time in advance at our discretion. Our current opening times are: Mon-Fri: 7am - 7pm Weekend: 11am - 4pm

Can I allow other people to access my storage?Yes. You can set up as many or as few people as you require to have access to your storage container. They need to be named on your account and you need to have given them your access codes or padlock key. This can be set up prior to you hiring the container or during tenancy. Please contact us to add an additional person so we can verify their details.

Do I have to pay a deposit?Yes. All customers are required to pay a refundable security deposit before storing. The price depends on the size of the storage container you choose. The amount is usually the equivalent of one week's storage fees (inc. VAT) for our storage. Please contact us for a full quote based on your requirements.

How much does it cost to use Dyfed Self Storage?This depends on what you are storing, how long for and the size of container you require. You can get a quote by filling in our form on the 'Contact' page or by giving us a call on 07831130456. All prices given for quotes are for a weekly cost including VAT. Storage is charged 4 weekly and in advance.

How can I pay?We accept payment by cash, bank transfer or for debit and credit card payments, with the exception of American Express, we will send you a link to make payment for a deposit and rental cost. All you need to do is to follow the link and enter all your card details. For security and data protection reasons we do not take payment by credit card over the telephone. Credit accounts must be paid within 30 days and we can accept bank transfer, debit or credit card, Paypal or cheque.

Do I need to take out my own contents insurance?Yes, you will be required to take out your own insurance but it must cover goods being placed in self storage as it is your responsibility to keep your insurance documentation valid and up to date. Please thoroughly check the terms of your insurance provider as some may not cover the contents stored in a self storage facility. We will require proof of insurance cover which must state that it covers goods stored in our self storage facility with the unit you are storing in and the full postal address of our premises.

What identity documents do I need to provide for verification?Proof of address and an official document with a your photograph will be required such as: • Driving License • Passport We will not accept any other forms of identification if you wish to use our storage facilities. Note: For security reasons we need to keep a record of all active customers.

How secure are Dyfed storage containers?Our containers are weatherproof and highly secured. They are monitored by CCTV at all times 24/7. The containers come complete with a factory-fitted lockbox. You can use your own padlock or alternatively at an additional cost we can supply a padlock to fit inside. We can provide extra heavy duty flooring at an additional cost.
